I’ve been designing business cards and company identity packages for my clients for a long time, and I thought that it is the right time to design some business cards for myself. After having some time thinking about it, I thought what I need is a simple business card printed on a good quality paper. I’ve visited Istanbul Basim a couple days ago and chose between many kinds of papers. The one I chose has a very good feel and it’s thick (320gr), which I think is great.
I requested to watch the printing process, so that I could learn more about printing and they didn’t reject me. We’ve finished printing today and I’m really satisfied with my new business cards! I hope you like them.

We’ve been working on a new twitter widget with my friend Ekrem. The script is accepted by CodeCanyon and is on sale. It has two versions, one as a Javascript plugin and one as a WordPress plugin. Check them out!

I’ve re-decorated my room this weekend, and I’ve bought new furniture from IKEA. I love their designs, especially the office furnitures. I hope it redounds my creativity!

I’m proud to declare that me and my good friend (who is also a very talented programmer) Ekrem Büyükkaya have founded a new design&development agency called Creavita Studios. We will be creating new scripts, plugins and templates to sell on Envato Marketplace and we’re also open for freelancing.

We’ve been working on new ideas for the last few days, and it’s working great so far. We will be launching our website soon, follow us!
I want to introduce an amazing tool that I’ve just found out today. It’s called screenr. It’s a great way for capturing videos online. The best thing about screenr is that the recorder is web-based, so you don’t need to download anything. Also, you can login with your twitter account, and tweet your videos instantly. The recorder can record your microphone input, and this makes screenr a great place for recording tutorials. After recording, you can download an MP4 version of your video or you can directly publish it on YouTube.

Yesterday I bought a new graphic tablet, Wacom Bamboo Pen. Actually, this is my first real graphic tablet if we don’t count the one that I bought from Dealextreme a long time ago. It was like a toy, so I threw it away immediately. Continue reading →
Today I met 92pixels.com’s admin (Arslan) and he offered me an interview to be published on the site. I accepted it with pleasure, and answered several questions about me. You can find the interview here.
I see thousands (may be?) of logo designs every day, but it’s not easy to find designs and ideas that makes us say ‘WOW!’. Here are some designs that impressed me recently. Continue reading →
Google changed the interface of the Image Search page nearly two weeks ago. Some people say that it looks like Bing Images’ interface, which I find very impractical. If you think the old interface was better (as me), I can suggest a little plugin for Firefox. It basically redirects you to Google’s “basic” image search. Continue reading →

The New Logo
RentACoder (one of the most famous freelance job boards) has changed its name to vWorker (which stands for Virtual Worker) a short time ago. They also have a new website design and logo. I’ve done nearly 85 projects on RentACoder, and I think it’s a good idea to change the ‘coder’ in the name into ‘worker’, because the site covers a lot more job areas than just coding.
